NJ Turnpike Crash in Bergen County Under Investigation

State Police in NJ are investigating the cause of a crash that caused injuries on a highway in Bergen County Monday morning. 

It happened around 1:50 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the NJ Turnpike near mile marker 111.2

Troopers arrived and found a vehicle overturned on the roadway with another car involved in the collision. Reports say a second collision occurred after a driver tried to prevent the overturned car crash. 

Several occupants who exited one of the cars were struck by a vehicle on the highway. 

According to reports, at least one injured person was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center for treatment, and their condition could not be confirmed. 

Troopers closed the left lane for the crash investigation.
