Officials said the precautionary measures are being taken out of an abundance of caution to ensure the safety of customers and employees and to protect transit equipment from storm damage.

Systemwide cross-honoring is in effect during this period, allowing passengers to use rail, bus, private carriers, and light rail services interchangeably.

Rail Service

North Jersey Coast Line (NJCL): Service is suspended between Bay Head and Long Branch through the end of service on Monday.

Atlantic City Rail Line (ACRL): Service is suspended between Atlantic City and Philadelphia’s 30th Street Station through the end of service on Monday.

All Other Rail Lines: Currently operating on schedule but subject to change depending on storm severity.

Bus Service

Bus service updates around the state (mainly) down the shore are expected throughout the storm, with possible delays, detours, or suspensions depending on roadway conditions and local flooding.

NJ TRANSIT urges customers to allow extra travel time, remain alert for updated advisories, and check official alerts before heading out.

The nor’easter is forecast to bring one to two inches of rainfall, strong winds, and the risk of flooding in low-lying areas, particularly in sections of northern New Jersey prone to water accumulation during heavy storms.

While officials stressed this is not a hurricane, they cautioned residents to prepare for hazardous conditions, scattered power outages, and possible downed trees.
