NJ State Police Seeks Volunteers for Domestic Violence Response Teams

The New Jersey State Police and partnering domestic violence advocacy groups are seeking volunteers for Domestic Violence Response Teams (DVRT) in Burlington, Camden, Essex, Hunterdon, Mercer, and Monmouth Counties. Volunteers are also being sought for the Sexual Assault Response Team.

Volunteer advocates work in conjunction with the New Jersey State Police to provide support, information, referrals, and safety planning for victims of domestic violence.

Volunteers must attend a 40-hour training course, possess a valid driver’s license, be willing to serve on an on-call shift basis, and submit to a background investigation and fingerprints.
