NJ State Police Arrest Man, Seize $1,590 Worth of Heroin After Traffic Stop

The New Jersey State Police have arrested Thomas Brown, 37, of Millville, N.J. and seized $1,590 worth of heroin as the result of a traffic stop.

According to police, on Friday, August 9, at 12:44 p.m., Trooper Shane Furlong stopped Brown for a traffic violation in Fairfield Township, Cumberland County.

During the stop, police say it was discovered that Brown had a criminal warrant out of Cumberland County. After further investigation, Trooper Furlong discovered that Brown was in possession of 318 wax folds of heroin.

Thomas Brown was charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with intent to distribute, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was lodged at the Cumberland County Jail pending a detention hearing.

Charges are mere accusations and the accused is considered innocent until proven guilty.
