A brief pursuit of a vehicle that was reported stolen had cops take a man into custody late last night.

According to a spokesperson for the NJ State Police, shortly before 9 p.m., officers from the NJ State Police began following a dark colored Audi A4 that was occupied by three suspects.

After running the vehicle's registration, officers noticed that the vehicle was reported stolen authorities said.

When officers activated their lights and sirens in an attempt to stop the vehicle, authorities said the vehicle sped away from the scene.

Police followed the vehicle for about a minute to the area of 13th Street and 18th Avenue when all of the occupants bailed from the vehicle the state police spokesman said.
