A rabbi was among several arrested this morning in a series of raids by federal and state authorities in a massive welfare fraud investigation.
The Ocean County Prosecutor's Office confirmed that approximately half-dozen couples were arrested. Among the those identified were:
Rabbi Zalmen Sorotzkin, Tzipporah, (his wife), Mordechai Breskin and his wife, Jocheved.
Although details on charges have not been immediately released, authorities said they are reportedly involved in a $1.3 million fraud scheme.
