Authorities in Atlantic County announced that on Wednesday, April 29, Ryan Bonanni, 25, of Egg Harbor Township, was indicted by an Atlantic County Grand Jury on second-degree charges of Official Misconduct, third-degree Invasion of Privacy, and third-degree Criminal Computer Activity.

All in relation to surreptitiously taking several videos on his personal cell phone of a female prisoner during her arrest on July 6, 2025, according to ACPO officials.
In July 2025, Atlantic County officials said the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office became aware of an incident days earlier where Officer Bonanni recorded a nude female inmate while she was secured in the Ventnor Police Department holding cell.
These secret recordings were made without the other officers involved in the woman’s arrest being aware, Atlantic County officials say.
ACPO officials stated that Officer Bonanni then sent the videos via Snapchat to several Ventnor Police Officers as well as his civilian friends and family.

Second-degree crimes carry a maximum of 10 years in New Jersey State Prison, ACPO authorities say.
This case was investigated by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office’s Professional Standards and Accountability Unit and the Ventnor Police Department.
