A 57-year-old Sicklerville nursing aide has been charged after authorities allege he sexually assaulted an elderly patient at a rehabilitation and healthcare facility in Camden County.

According to information released by the Berlin Police Department, officers responded to the Berlin Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center on Long-A-Coming Lane on July 3 after receiving a report that an elderly female resident had been sexually assaulted by a staff member.
Police said the victim and her power of attorney met with responding officers, prompting an investigation by the department’s Detective Bureau.
Over the following days, detectives interviewed potential suspects. Authorities said Frantz Louis, 57, of Sicklerville, admitted to the assault during an interview on July 13.
With authorization from the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, Louis was charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault of an incapacitated or helpless victim and fourth-degree endangering another person.
He was remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility pending a detention hearing in Superior Court.
The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Ashton Pohlig of the Berlin Police Department.
Louis is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
