Officials have confirmed that the Mayor of Rockaway Township died suddenly Wednesday evening.
Authorities say Mayor Michael Dachisen, 58, died at Saint Clare's Dover Hospital after going into cardiac arrest.
According to officials, Dachisen, who previously served on the council for 15 years, had been mayor since 2012.
