NJ Man Charged with Possessing Explicit Materials Involving Minors

Authorities in Somerset County announced the arrest of Brett Ajamian,29, of Belle Mead, for Possessing Explicit Materials Involving Minors in the Township of Montgomery.

Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald stated tha during the month of January 2026, the New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force notified the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office of multiple Cyber Tipline Reports provided by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children concerning the possession of files depicting the explicit contact and/or exploitation of a minor via an online cloud storage account.

Upon receiving these Cyber Tipline Reports, an investigation was initiated by detectives assigned to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Computer Crimes Unit.

The investigation led to the identification of Brett Ajamian as being associated with this online cloud storage account.

Prosecutor McDonald stated on Tuesday, January 27, that detectives from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office, along with members of the Montgomery Township Police Department, executed a Superior Court search warrant at Brett Ajamian’s residence in Belle Mead.

As a result of the search warrant, electronic devices were seized from the residence for further forensic analysis.

On the same date, detectives from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Computer Crimes Unit and members of the Branchburg Police Department took Brett Ajamian into custody in Branchburg without incident.

Defendant Ajamian was transported to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office for processing on charges of 3rd degree, Possessing Explicit Materials Involving Minors. Defendant Ajamian was lodged at the Somerset County Jail and later released after appearing in Superior Court.
