According to a statement released by the Washington Township Police Department in Gloucester County, officers arrested a 30-year-old Clementon man early Monday morning after discovering a credit card skimming device, blank credit cards, and fraudulent gift cards during a motor vehicle stop.

The suspect, identified as Mr. Justin Hill, was taken into custody around 1 a.m. and charged with violating N.J.S.A. 2C:21-6.1b(1) — possession of a scanning device or reencoder with the intent to commit theft or fraud involving credit cards.
This offense is classified as a third-degree crime in New Jersey and typically involves equipment designed to scan or clone credit card information.
Police reported that Harrison Township Police K9 “Duncan” assisted during the vehicle stop, leading to the discovery of the illegal devices.
Following his arrest, Hill was processed and later released.
The investigation has since been turned over to Washington Township detectives and the Department of Homeland Security, who will continue examining potential links to broader financial fraud activity.
