A Pleasantville man has admitted to killing his pregnant domestic partner in a deadly assault that occurred in late 2024, Atlantic County authorities announced.
According to prosecutors, Boris Lainez-Rosales, 28, pleaded guilty Tuesday, May 19, to one count of first-degree murder in connection with the death of 25-year-old Leslianette Quintana-Betancourt, also of Pleasantville.
As part of the plea agreement, prosecutors will recommend a sentence of 30 years in New Jersey State Prison without the possibility of parole.

During the guilty plea, Lainez-Rosales admitted that on December 2, 2024, he assaulted Quintana-Betancourt, who was pregnant at the time and identified as his domestic partner, with a baseball bat inside his Pleasantville home, causing her death.
The investigation was conducted jointly by the Pleasantville Police Department and the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit.
