A Camden County man has pleaded guilty to conspiring to distribute more than five kilograms of cocaine and unlawfully possessing a firearm, according to a statement released by the U.S. Department of Justice.

Rasheed Amin, 46, of Voorhees, entered his guilty plea before U.S. District Judge Christine P. O’Hearn, admitting to one count of conspiracy to distribute cocaine and one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Federal prosecutors said that throughout 2024, Amin flew from Philadelphia to various cities on the West Coast to obtain cocaine for distribution in the Northeast.

He then mailed parcels containing the drugs to his home in Voorhees and to other addresses in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York.

On October 29, 2024, law enforcement executed a search warrant at his residence, where they discovered several kilograms of cocaine and a loaded firearm.

Amin, who has a prior felony conviction, acknowledged possessing both the drugs and the weapon.

The drug conspiracy charge carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison, with a maximum of life, along with a possible $10 million fine.

The firearm possession charge could result in up to 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Sentencing is scheduled for November 13, 2025.
