A 27-year-old Middlesex County woman who worked as a federal corrections officer has pleaded guilty after authorities said she engaged in a sexual relationship with an inmate at FCI Fort Dix.

According to information released by the U.S. Department of Justice, Jordan Pensak entered her guilty plea before U.S. District Court Judge Edward S. Kiel in Camden federal court on a charge of sexual abuse of an individual in federal custody.

Court records and statements made during the proceeding revealed that Pensak became involved with an inmate housed at Fort Dix, a low-security federal correctional institution in Burlington County.

Federal prosecutors said Pensak had sex with the inmate in January 2026. The two also exchanged sexually explicit photographs and messages through social media and other electronic applications.

Authorities said the inmate used two contraband cell phones while in custody to communicate with Pensak.

Investigators also uncovered text messages in which Pensak acknowledged the relationship to several people, including members of the inmate’s family.

In one exchange, she reportedly expressed concern that she might be pregnant with the inmate’s child.

Pensak is scheduled to be sentenced on February 10, 2027.

The federal charge carries a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
