Registration for 400 apprenticeship slots will open on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 8 a.m.

The program offers a path to a construction career through paid on-the-job training and classroom instruction.
This is New Jersey’s only federally approved apprenticeship program for construction craft laborers.
It combines 4,000 hours of on-the-job training with 400 hours of classroom learning, all provided at no cost to qualified apprentices.
Apprentices start earning wages immediately, with pay increases every 1,000 hours of training. Applicants do not need prior construction experience to apply.

Applications are online only and will open October 24 at 8 a.m.
To qualify, applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a valid driver’s license, be physically able to perform construction labor, read and speak English, and submit to a drug test if selected.
Candidates with prior construction experience may qualify for advanced placement if they can provide documentation such as W-2s or employer verification letters.
Once registered, applicants will be scheduled for orientation, testing, and an interview.
The program is operated by the Construction Craft Laborers Training & Apprenticeship Fund of New Jersey and Delaware, in collaboration with LIUNA.
Training is provided at the center in Jamesburg, NJ, which covers areas such as highway and heavy construction, environmental remediation, and green construction practices. Joseph DeMarco Jr., a longtime LIUNA educator with four decades of experience, directs the apprenticeship program.
