A limited batch of Trader Joe’s Sesame Miso Salad with Salmon is being voluntarily recalled after the discovery of an undeclared milk allergen, according to a statement released by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The recall was issued after it was found that about 500 units of the salad were mistakenly packaged with a sealed packet of parmesan cheese crumbles instead of the intended crispy onions.
Because milk is not declared on the product’s label, consumers with milk allergies or sensitivities may be at risk of an adverse reaction if they consume the product.
So far, no allergic reactions or health incidents have been reported in connection to this product.
The affected salads, produced by Taylor Fresh Foods Illinois, were distributed to Trader Joe’s stores in several states, including New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Ohio, and others.
The specific items under recall are the Trader Joe’s Sesame Miso Salad with Salmon 10.25 oz., marked with “Use By” dates of April 28, 2025, and April 29, 2025, and UPC code 00773164.
The FDA emphasized that this recall applies only to this specific salad and does not affect any other Trader Joe’s products or brands.

Customers who purchased the recalled salads are urged to discard the product, especially if they or anyone who may consume it has a milk allergy.
For more information or concerns, customers are encouraged to contact Trader Joe’s or visit the company’s website.
