Nice Start to Saturday in Newark But Rain Will Move in After Lunchtime

Newark

By: Richard L. Smith

My friends and family in Newark and the North Jersey region are experiencing a pleasant start to Saturday, but weather conditions are expected to deteriorate as the day progresses.AfWhile the morning remains mostly sunny, with temperatures reaching a high near 53 degrees, residents are advised to make the most of the dry weather before rain moves in later in the day.

The National Weather Service said light rain is forecasted to begin around 2 or 3 p.m. and gradually intensify into the evening and overnight hours.

Heavy rainfall is anticipated during the night, raising concerns for localized flooding in some areas.

Therefore, individuals are encouraged to complete any outdoor activities or errands before noon to avoid getting caught in the inclement weather.

As clouds increase throughout the day, NWS forecasters say the evening will see temperatures drop to around 39 degrees, with conditions remaining overcast.

Stay informed and prepared for changing weather conditions as the day progresses.
