Residents in Newark are enjoying the last few hours of good weather. The area is notably cooler compared to the last two days, signaling an incoming shift in weather patterns.

The National Weather Service forecasts that showers will likely begin after 2 p.m. today.

Forecasters said the skies will increasingly cloud over as the day progresses, with temperatures peaking near 61 degrees.

A north wind of 6 to 10 mph will shift southeast in the afternoon, accompanying the change in weather. The chance of precipitation today stands at 60%.

As nighttime approaches, showers are expected to continue, leading to a cloudy evening with lows around 49 degrees.

Those planning to venture out later today are advised to carry an umbrella and prepare for wet conditions as Newark transitions into a cooler, rainier phase.
