Newark Woman Wanted for Stealing Family First Card

Police in Newark issued an arrest warrant for Melinda Wright, 46, in connection with a theft that occurred between the dates of January 5, and February 23, 2021.

According to police the victim’s identification and Family First Card was used by a suspect who police observed on video surveillance making several purchases.

Detectives investigating this incident identified Melinda Wright as a suspect and obtained a warrant for her arrest for theft and misuse of benefits.

Police say while she is being sought by police, they seek the public’s help in quickly locating her.  

Wright is described as 5’3” tall and 200 pounds. She has black hair, brown eyes and also has the name “Jermaine” tattooed on her right wrist.
