Newark Woman Wanted for Dragging, Beating Victim

Newark Police have announced the issuance of an arrest warrant for 35-year-old Shavani Robinson, a Newark resident, following an aggravated assault incident that occurred on November 8.AdThe assault, which took place around 2 p.m. at an Auto Zone located in the 200 block of Springfield Avenue, was captured on surveillance video.

The footage shows Robinson, accompanied by another woman, forcefully opening a car door and dragging the victim out of the vehicle.

The victim was subsequently thrown to the ground, where Robinson is seen assaulting the individual multiple times.

Described as 5'7" tall and weighing approximately 200 pounds, Shavani Robinson has brown eyes, black hair, and a dark complexion.

The Newark Police Department, under the direction of Director Fragé, is actively seeking information on her whereabouts.

The Police Division urges the public to contribute any relevant information by contacting their 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).

The department emphasizes that all tips received through this line will remain confidential and could potentially lead to a reward for those providing actionable information.
