Newark Woman Pleads Not Guilty for Fatal Stabbing Over Xbox Game

Newark

A Newark woman accused of stabbing her boyfriend to death last year during an argument over an Xbox video game console pleaded not guilty today during arraignment before Superior Court Judge Ronald Wigler.

On May 31, 26-year-old Aisha Barr and Christopher Greene got into an argument over an Xbox video game console at their home on the 100 block of Stuyvesant Avenue that quickly turned physical.

Barr allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed Green in the chest.

He was transported to University Hospital in Newark, where he was pronounced dead.

Barr was charged on reckless manslaughter and weapons charges. She remains in custody at the Essex County Correctional Facility in lieu of $250,000 bail.

Barr is scheduled to return to court on April 25.
