Newark Woman Killed in Pennsylvania Car Crash

Pennsylvania authorities are actively investigating the cause of a crash that killed a Newark resident on Friday evening.

According to Lancaster County officials, the single-car crash happened at approximately 3:54 p.m. along Route 462 in East Lampeter Township.

Police say emergency responders rushed to the vicinity of Chateau Hill Road and Route 462, just west of Greenfield Road where they found the crashed vehicle with **Ms. Bnisha M. Thompson, 22, of Newark** underneath the car with one other person.

She was pronounced dead a short time later, officials said.

Pennsylvania Police said a third person was located inside the car.

The two injured victims were transported to an area hospital in serious condition.

According to Newark officials speaking off the record, Thompson was a 2015 graduate of Arts High School and studied Piano.

Pennsylvania Police could not confirm why Thompson and the other victims were in the area or who exactly was driving the car.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
