Newark Woman Arrested for Armed Robbery

The Newark Fugitive Apprehension Team announced the arrest of **Ms. Jazzmyne Williams, 27, of Newark,**who they said was wanted for an armed robbery that occurred on Sunday, June 4, 2017.

According to authorities, at approximately 10:30 p.m., a male victim was robbed at gunpoint in the 900-block of South 19th Street by a woman and three men.

Detectives developed sufficient evidence to identify Ms. Jazzmyne Williams as a suspect in this robbery and obtained a warrant for her arrest.

Officers arrested Williams today without incident and charged her with Robbery, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, Aggravated Assault, and Conspiracy.

These charges are merely accusations lodged against Ms. Williams.

The suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Police are actively searching for the three males that accompanied Ms. Williams.
