Newark Woman Accused of Stabbing Boyfriend to Death Over Xbox Console Pleads Not Guilty

A 28-year-old Newark woman accused of fatally stabbing her boyfriend during an alleged dispute over an Xbox console pleaded not guilty this morning.

Aisha Barr during her appearance in Essex County Superior Court this morning, entered the pleas on a single charge of aggravated manslaughter.

Barr ordered to remain at the county jail in Newark on $500,000 bond. 

Barr is facing charges in connection to the May 31 incident where according to police Barr and Christopher Greene, 26, began arguing over an Xbox game console at their Stuyvesant Avenue home.

The argument turned physical, resulting in the fatal stabbing.

Green was transported to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
