Police in Newark's West Ward are on the search for several males who occupied a vehicle when they fired shots in that section of the city Saturday morning.
In the incident, police responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the area of Brookdale and Lindsley avenues around 1: 40 a.m.
Officers arrived, canvases the area and found shell casings in the neighborhood.
Police say the suspects in the vehicle fired shots at a person walking on the street, but there were no reports of injuries.
According to police, the suspects sped away from the scene after the shooting and remained at large.
