Newark Theft Suspect Sought

Authorities issued a warrant for the arrest of Ayoni Williams, 28, of Newark, in connection with a theft that occurred on March 16th.

According to officials, at approximately 7:10 p.m., A. Williams, an employee at K.J. Electronics, located at 831 Broad Street, removed inventory from the store and left the premises.

Detectives investigating this incident developed sufficient evidence to identify Williams as a suspect and secured a warrant for his arrest on a charge of Theft.

Police said he is also wanted for Contempt of Court in a separate matter.

Police described Williams as 5’2” tall, 190 lbs., medium brown complexion, brown eyes and black hair.

While police are actively searching for Williams, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing him from the streets.

This investigation is ongoing.
