Good morning! If you’re heading out to catch the bus for work, taking a morning walk, or getting the dog out early, it’s currently around 54 degrees at 4:30 a.m.

The air feels fresh and comfortable. It’s a little cool, so you may want to bring along a light jacket, but there’s no doubt that spring is starting to settle in across the region.

Today is shaping up to be a beautiful day and it could be a perfect opportunity to enjoy lunch outdoors if your schedule allows.

Skies are setting up for wall-to-wall sunshine across the area. In downtown Newark it’s a bit chilly right now, but temperatures will warm up nicely once the sun climbs higher in the sky.

According to the National Weather Service, today will be sunny with a high near 70 degrees. Winds will start out calm before becoming southwest at about 5 to 9 miles per hour during the afternoon.
