Newark’s South Ward is gearing up for an exciting community celebration as Councilman Patrick Council hosts the Second Annual Newark New Jersey Derby Meet-Up on Saturday, May 3, beginning at 5 p.m., rain or shine.
According to information released by the councilman’s office, this festive event will be held at South End Cigars, located at 699 Frelinghuysen Avenue, and will blend the energy of the 151st Kentucky Derby with the spirit and future of the South Ward.

The gathering promises to be a showcase of style, community pride, and fun.
Fashion is encouraged, and the atmosphere is expected to be lively and welcoming.
