Police in Newark are investigating a stabbing incident that left a person suffering serious injuries in a section of the city Friday night.
Police say officials at University Hospitals alerted them that the victim was transported by private vehicle to the emergency department shortly before 9 p.m. '
After a preliminary investigation, police determined that the victim suffered their injury on South 17th Street before they arrived at the hospital.
Police say the victim is in serious but stable condition. There are no reporters of arrests at this time.
