Newark Shooting Suspect Sought by Police

Newark Police seek the public’s help in locating **Mr. Samid Strothers, 20, of Newark,** for a shooting that occurred on Wednesday, April 19.

According to authorities, at approximately 9 p.m., a 33-year old male victim was shot at Vassar and Maple avenues.

Police said the victim arrived at Newark Beth Israel Hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries and released.

Detectives developed evidence that Samid Strothers is a suspect in this shooting as they issued a warrant for his arrest.

While police are actively searching for this suspect, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing him from city streets.

This investigation is ongoing.
