Newark Police Seeks Public's Help to Identify Suspect Who Fraudulently Spent Over $10,000 at Walmart from Debit Card

The Newark Police Department has issued a public appeal for assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a significant incident of fraud.

The events happened on December 19 and December 20, 2023, when the suspect fraudulently used a victim's debit card to make purchases totaling $10,557.32.

The fraudulent transactions took place at a Walmart in Union, New Jersey.

Fraud Surveillance footage from the store shows the suspect, who was driving a Cadillac XT5. The individual is notably seen wearing a distinctive "The North Face" hooded sweatshirt or jacket, paired with black Nike sweatpants and gray sneakers.

Director Fragé of the Newark Police Department has emphasized the importance of community assistance in this case.

The public is urged to come forward with any information that could lead to the identification of the suspect.
