Newark Police Seeks Help Locating Armed Robbery Suspect Who Stole Over $4K

Authorities in Newark request the public's help identifying the suspect in connection with an armed business robbery that occurred on Sunday, February 25, 2024.AdNewark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said at approximately 10 p.m., a male suspect approached a business owner in the 1100 block of South Orange Avenue.

Officials stated the suspect robbed the victim at gunpoint, taking approximately $4,500.00 from him before fleeing on foot headed southbound on Dover Street.

The suspect is described as 5'9" tall with a thin build and a light complexion, officials said.

Authorities say he was wearing a dark blue jacket, black sweatpants, sneakers, a ski mask, and gray gloves.
