Authorities in Newark request the public’s help identifying the female suspect who broke into four vehicles from August 28 to September 13.
Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., said the suspect, a heavyset woman, entered an unlocked vehicle at about 12:40 a.m. in the 500 block of 18th Avenue on August 28 and took a MacBook Pro and an iPad.
A week later, on September 4, 2026, she took ear pods and a driver’s license from a vehicle at 12:05 a.m. in the 30 block of Holland Street, according to Newark officials. 
Newark Police said on September 6, the suspect rummaged through a victim’s vehicle at approximately 5 p.m. and took $18 from the center console. On September 13, the suspect ransacked a victim’s vehicle at approximately 3 a.m. in the 200 block of 17th Avenue.
