Newark Police Seeks Help Identifying Robbery Suspect

Authorities in Newark are investigating an incident concerning a suspect involved in a robbery on Monday, March 6.

Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé reported seeking the public’s help identifying the male suspect.

According to officials, a victim reported being robbed of a suitcase containing $700.00 and bank cards at Fleming Avenue and Schalk Street.

Detectives investigating this incident describe the suspect as a heavy-set black male, police say. 

Director Fragé urges anyone with information about the identity of this suspect to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
