Newark Police Seeks Help Identifying Auto Burglary Suspect

Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., requests the public’s help identifying the male suspect in connection with an auto burglary that occurred on Saturday, July 5.

According to Newark officials, at approximately 7:05 a.m., the suspect walked up to the victim’s vehicle, parked at Sunset Avenue near South Orange Avenue, and used an object to break the front passenger-side window before removing loose chains from the vehicle’s center console.

Detectives investigating this incident describe the suspect as a tall, slim, Black male wearing a navy-blue hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and white sneakers, Newark Police said.
