Newark Police Seeks Help Identifying Armed Robbery Suspects, Locating Vehicle

Authorities in Newark request the public’s help with identifying two armed male suspects who used a vehicle to rob a commercial business of $12,000 on January 31, 2024.AdNewark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said police responded to the incident, which occurred at approximately 6:10 a.m. at World Grease LLC, a professional used cooking oil and recycling company located at 16 Libella Court.

Officials said two suspects, brandishing weapons, exited the vehicle pictured below while an employee was about to open the business.

One of the suspects grabbed the employee and demanded money as he pointed the weapon, forcing the worker into an office where the $12,000 was taken, officials say.

According to officials, both suspects got into the get-away vehicle, a blue four-door Honda, and fled south on Libella Court.

Authorities say one of the suspects was wearing black clothing and a ski mask, and the other suspect was wearing a blue jacket, blue jeans, and a ski mask.
