Newark Police Seek Public's Help Locating Pedestrian Hit-and-Run Suspect

Authorities in Newark request the public’s help with locating the driver of the vehicle who struck a pedestrian and drove away on November 2.

Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said police responded to the incident, which occurred at approximately 8:10 a.m. at Muhammad Ali Avenue and Livingston Street.

The vehicle, a maroon 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan, #Z59LLR, was traveling eastbound on Muhammad Ali Avenue, officials stated.

Officials said when it reached Livingston Street, the driver struck the victim, who was crossing the intersection with family members.

The suspect vehicle continued driving towards Irvine Turner Boulevard, authorities say.
