Newark Police Seek the Public's Help in Identifying Package Theft Suspects

Newark Police request the public’s help in identifying the male and female suspects in connection with a package theft that occurred on Thursday, April 28.

According to police officials, a victim reported that a package delivered to a residence in the 100 block of Norwood Street was stolen at approximately 12:40 p.m. 

Police said that the female suspect waited outside the residence’s gate as the male suspect opened the gate and took the victim’s package, with contents valued at $195.00.

Detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s help in quickly identifying these suspects as part of their investigation. 

Police said that the male is described as Black, wearing a burgundy sweatsuit, a white hooded sweater, and black shoes. 

The female is described as Black, with red hair styled in two braids, wearing a black jacket and black pants.

Police in Newark urge anyone with information on the identity of these suspects to call the Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).  

All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
