Newark Police Seek the Public's Help in Identifying Package Theft Suspect

Newark Police requests the public's help in identifying a male in connection with a package theft that occurred on Wednesday, March 16.

According to police officials, at approximately 9:45 a.m., police responded to a residence in the 30s block of South Munn Avenue on a call of a theft. A male suspect stole a Fed-Ex package from the victim's front porch.

Police said that Detectives investigating this incident obtained surveillance footage showing the male suspect taking the package.

According to police officials, he is described as a Black male wearing red or brown pants, a black jacket and a black skull cap.

Newark Police officials urge anyone with information on the identity of this suspect to call the Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).  

All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
