Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose requests the public’s help in identifying suspects in connection with a business burglary that occurred during the overnight hours of Sunday, November 1, to Monday, November 2.
According to police, officers responded to J’s Mount Vernon Sweet Shop, located at 88 Mount Vernon Place, on a call of a burglary.
Police report that responding officers observed burglary tools inside the business and an area where a padlock had been cut. Hats, gloves, socks, lottery tickets and $1,000.00 in cash were stolen.
Detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s help in quickly identifying the suspects as part of their investigation.
