Authorities in Newark are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing city resident last seen more than a month ago.

According to Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., Marvin R. Walker, 55, was reported missing on Tuesday, February 17.
Police said Mr. Walker was last seen at approximately 7 p.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2026, in the area of Manchester Place near Grafton Avenue.
Mr. Walker is described as African American, 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing approximately 200 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Investigators say he is known to frequent the area of Branch Brook Drive near Maier Street in Belleville, as well as South Main Street near Tyndall Avenue in Phillipsburg, New Jersey.
Director Miranda urges anyone with information regarding Marvin R. Walker’s whereabouts to contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stoppers tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
