Newark Police Seek Public's Assistance with Identifying Robbery Suspect

Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose reports that police are seeking the public’s assistance with identifying an individual wanted for questioning in a robbery that occurred on Saturday, October 3.

According to the police, a robbery occurred on the 100 block of 7th Avenue, Newark at a commercial establishment. The suspect entered the establishment and concealed items under his clothing.

As he attempted to exit, he used physical force against employees while threatening to harm them with a knife.

Police describe the suspect as a male with a medium complexion, medium build, approximately 5’10” to 6’0” in height, wearing dark clothing with a white mask on his face.

The detectives investigating this incident are seeking the public’s help in quickly identifying this suspect as part of this investigation. Director Ambrose urges anyone with information about the suspect to call the Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
