Newark Police Search for Theft from Auto Suspects

Newark Police request the public's help identifying the male suspects in connection with a theft from auto that occurred in the 100 block of Brill Street on Wednesday, May 17.

According to police officials, a victim, who left his vehicle unlocked at approximately 5 p.m., returned to find the vehicle ransacked and his wallet missing. The victim's wallet contained four credit cards.

The detectives investigating this incident obtained surveillance footage of the using the victim's credit card at various businesses. 

They seek the public's help quickly identifying these suspects as part of this investigation. 

Police said that both suspects are known to frequent the area of Heller Parkway and North 6th Street.

Newark Police officials urge anyone with information on the identity of either of these suspects to call the Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).  

All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
