Police in Newark are on the search for the suspect who made off with a car that was left unoccupied and running in the city’s North Ward.
The incident happened in the 80’s block of Montclair Avenue at around noon where police arrived to investigate reports of a stolen vehicle.
According to preliminary reports, the suspect took a grey 4-door 2016 Honda Civic with a reported NJ license plate number "V86-JMJ".
The victim's purse, cellphone, and other items were in the car when it was taken reports said.
