Newark Police officials request the public’s help with identifying the suspect, who stole a bag containing a laptop from a vehicle on August 1.
According to police, the incident occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. when the victim left his car unlocked in the parking at LA Fitness, located in the 200 block of South Orange Avenue.
Police officials said that the suspect, a Hispanic female, was captured on surveillance video, entering the victim’s vehicle and removing a bag with the laptop.
According to police, she has reddish color hair, a tattoo sleeve on her right arm, a tattoo on her left forearm, and she was wearing a black shirt with white lettering, blue shorts, and black sneakers while carrying a black Adidas duffle bag.
Newark Police officials urge anyone with information about the suspect to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
