Newark Police Search for Armed Robbery Suspects

Newark Police officials seek the public’s help in identifying the wanted suspects in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on Monday, June 27.

According to police, the two suspects were observed on video surveillance exiting from the pictured vehicle in the 200 block of Miller Street. 

Police said that they walked to a parked tractor-trailer, opened the driver’s door, and assaulted the victim before stealing $200 in cash from his pocket and taking his duffle bag containing clothing. One of the suspects was holding a handgun during the incident. 

Detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s help in quickly identifying this suspect as part of their investigation. 

According to police, the suspects are both described as Black males. The suspect’s vehicle is described as a gray, 4-door Toyota Camry with tinted windows.

The vehicle was reported missing from Elmwood Park on June 9.

Newark police officials urge anyone with information about these suspects to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). 

All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
