Newark Police Issue Warrant for Two Men Wanted for Robbery

Newark Police report that a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Salih Fox, 25, of East Orange, and Quad Cheatham, 24, of Bloomfield, who both are being sought on charges of robbery and conspiracy in an incident that occurred on Thursday, August 27.

According to police, officers responded to a call at 12:38 p.m. regarding an injured person, who was unconscious and laying on the ground at West End Avenue and Caldwell Place.

Police report that the victim, who was driving a Ford Taurus, was being followed by a group of male suspects in a blue Infiniti that is registered to Fox. After they caused the victim to crash into a white pickup truck, one of the suspects was captured on surveillance video pulling the victim out of his car and assaulting him.

Detectives investigating this incident have identified Fox and Cheatham as suspects and obtained warrants for their arrests.

While police are actively searching for Fox and Cheatham, they seek the public’s help in quickly locating them as part of this investigation.

Fox is described as 5’11” tall and 200 lbs., with brown eyes, black hair and a medium brown complexion. Fox also has a tattoo of a clock on his neck.

Cheatham is described as 5’11” tall and 160 lbs. He also has a medium brown complexion, black hair and brown eyes.
