An armed robbery of a convenience store in the city's South Ward has police investigating.
Police were called to 490 Avon Avenue at around 9:30 a.m. to investigate a report of an armed robbery in progress.
Units arrived at the scene and set up a crime scene around the store as they began a search for two suspects who entered the establishment armed with a weapon and took an unknown amount of proceeds before fleeing the scene.
There were no physical injuries reported.
This is the second armed robbery of a convenience store on the Avon Avenue stretch in a week and the third in less than a month.
