BREAKING NEWS NEWARK: A violent assault turned robbery near the Robert Treat Hotel on the 100 block of Park Place a short time ago, has police on the scene where the male victim was reportedly beaten and robbed of his cell phone and vehicle. Police located the vehicle, a red 2000 Jeep Wagon minutes ago on the 700 block of 14th Street .
The victim's injuries are non-life threatening.
