Newark Police Bust Montclair Man for Multiple Vehicle Burglaries in Newark's Central, East Ward Border

Police in Newark are reporting the arrest of **Mr. Kaili W. Richardson, 36, of Montclair,** for five vehicle burglaries that occurred in the East Ward.

According to a statement released by Newark Police, between the dates of October 26th and November 4th, 2018, police received a series of reports regarding thefts from vehicles in the East Ward.

The vehicle burglaries occurred at Shipman and Williams streets; in the 100-block of Arlington Street; at Washington and Court streets; and at Broad and East Kinney streets.

Members of the 3rd Precinct, with information from concerned citizens, arrested Richardson, then charged him with five counts each of Burglary, Theft and Criminal Mischief.

Police also charged Richardson with Contempt of Court on an outstanding warrant.

These charges are merely accusations.

The suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
